All students now have e-mail addresses that can be accessed via Google's Gmail service. The link provided on the Intranet site will direct pupils to the Gmail servers.

The school's network passwords are synchronised with Gmail and so to get access to your address, you will need to change your school password. The synchronisation process takes up to 30 minutes to happen.

Your e-mail address is username@beaulieu.co.za - note that this is different from staff e-mail addresses which end with @beaulieucollege.co.za.

To access this e-mail service from your BlackBerry:

  • Go to the "Mail Setup" app
  • "Add" a new account
  • Choose "Gmail" from the list of accounts.
  • Remove the "@gmail.com" from the "Email address" block and type in your @beaulieu.co.za address.
  • Type in your password.
  • Click on Next >.
  • Your BlackBerry will now validate your account.

To access this e-mail service from your iPhone or iPad (iDevice):

  • Go to the "Settings" app
  • Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
  • Tap "Add Account..."
  • Choose "Microsoft Exchange"
  • In the "Email" field, type in your @beaulieu.co.za address
  • Leave "Domain" empty.
  • In the "Username" field, type in your @beaulieu.co.za address
  • In the "Password" field, type in your password.
  • Add a description - perhaps Beaulieu.
  • Click on the Next button.
  • After a while, your iDevice will ask for a Server. Type in m.google.com
  • Choose which services you would like synchronised on your iDevice.
